DAN CATLIN

Dan was born and raised in central Michigan.  His professional career started with 5 years active duty with the U.S. Army Military Police.  After completing his tour of duty with the Army Dan attended the civilian Police Academy in Michigan and worked for a total of 12 years between the Sheriff’s Department, and Mt. Pleasant City Police Department.  Dan’s love of hunting and the out doors sparked a huge interest in Taxidermy Art.

Dan started to study taxidermy and eventually competed with whitetail deer taxidermy at the State and National level.  After winning numerous titles including State Champion in Michigan and Iowa, Dan was recognized for these talents by the Team at “The Wildlife Gallery”.  In 2007 Dan vested his Law Enforcement and Military time for an early retirement and began working full time for The Wildlife Gallery Team.

Dan is currently the Senior Vice President for The Wildlife Gallery, which has the largest Tannery in the US and is also one of the largest Taxidermy Studios.  Dan’s primary roll is on the Taxidermy side of things doing marketing, sales, and new business development.  Dan’s position within the corporation has afforded him many opportunities to hunt around the world.  His marketing roll gave Dan the platform to be Co-Host of Trijicon’s World of Sports Afield TV on the Sportsman’s Channel.

Dan’s hunting goals have far exceeded his expectations and is humbled by the career he has come to know and love within the out door industry.  His newest venture “The Experience” is an incredible opportunity to showcase what hunting is truly about.  Dan believes that it’s everything from the journey to and from your destination, all the people and cultures you meet in between, and the pursuit of your trophy.  It’s not always about the “kill” it’s about “The Experience”…
